02 Core privacy principle
Code Indexer is 100% self-hosted software. When you use our software, your source code, documents, and organizational data are processed entirely within your own infrastructure. We have zero access to your code, AI queries, or indexed content. Your data never leaves your network.
03 Data we collect on this website
We collect: (a) Contact form data (name, email, company) when you submit an inquiry. (b) No analytics are currently collected on this website — no page-view trackers, no third-party pixels, no behavioural profiling. If we add analytics in the future, we will use cookie-less, privacy-preserving tools (e.g., Plausible, Fathom) and update this policy first. (c) Billing information is processed by Stripe Payments Europe — we never store card numbers on our servers. The full list of vendors that touch any account or billing data is published at Sub-processors. We do NOT use tracking cookies, third-party ad pixels, or behavioural profiling tools — see our Cookie Policy for the small first-party preference cookies we do set.
04 Software telemetry
Code Indexer software contains zero telemetry. No usage data, crash reports, or analytics are sent from the software to our servers or any third-party service. This is by design and cannot be changed via configuration.
05 Legal basis (GDPR)
We process personal data under: (a) Contract performance — to fulfil your license purchase and provide support. (b) Legitimate interests — to respond to sales inquiries and to secure our service. (c) Consent — for optional marketing communications (opt-in only).
06 Data retention
Contact form submissions: 2 years. License and billing records: 7 years (legal obligation under Czech accounting law). You may request deletion at any time for non-legally-required data.
07 Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing of your personal data. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights — we respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the Czech Republic: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů / ÚOOÚ).
08 International transfers
We are based in the EU (Czech Republic) and prefer EU-based sub-processors wherever possible (Hetzner, Stripe Payments Europe). Some services — transactional email and edge CDN — are operated by US vendors under EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
