01 Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how codeindexer.dev uses cookies and similar technologies. We are committed to transparency and minimal data collection — no tracking, no advertising, no third-party analytics.
02 Strictly necessary cookies
Required for the website to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core features: (a) Session cookies for authentication and form submissions. (b) CSRF protection tokens. These are temporary and deleted when you close your browser.
03 Preference cookies
Small cookies that remember your settings between visits. Currently we set: ci-theme (stores your light/dark theme choice, expires in 1 year) and ci-cookie-notice (remembers you have dismissed the cookie banner, expires in 1 year). Both are first-party, plain-text, contain no personal data, and are never shared.
04 No tracking cookies
We do NOT use advertising or marketing cookies, social media tracking pixels, third-party analytics (Google Analytics, etc.), cross-site tracking, or fingerprinting techniques.
05 Analytics
If we add analytics in the future, we will use privacy-preserving alternatives that do not set cookies or track individual users (e.g., Plausible, Fathom) and will update this policy first.
06 Third-party services
Our payment processor sets its own cookies on payment pages. These are governed by the processor's privacy policy and are loaded only when you visit a payment flow.
07 Cookie notice banner
On your first visit a small banner at the bottom of the page informs you that cookies are in use and links here. Dismissing it sets the ci-cookie-notice preference cookie so the banner does not appear again.
08 Your choices
You can clear or block cookies from your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break login and forms; blocking preference cookies will simply mean your theme choice is not remembered between visits.
